Frequently asked questions
Aquila Fitness is dedicated to providing friendly, professional, and results-driven personal training. We are genuinely enthusiastic about helping you achieve your fitness goals through personalised support and expert guidance.
Do you provide services in all Isle of Wight gyms?
While we don't currently provide in-person training at all Isle of Wight locations, we are always looking to branch out. Each venue we train at charges a fee, so it's only feasible to select venues that enough clients wish to use. So please, if there's a specific location you wish to train at then definitely let us know, as other clients may also desire the same, making this possible. We can discuss options for training at other gyms depending on location and arrangements. Please get in touch to discuss your specific needs.
Are you only on the Isle of Wight, or are you online too?
While we currently only offer in-person training on the Isle of Wight, we also provide comprehensive online personal training services. This allows us to support clients both locally and further afield, offering flexible guidance no matter where you are.
What sorts of training do you offer?
We offer a wide range of training services tailored to your individual goals. These include strength training, hypertrophy and muscle building, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility and mobility work, job specific training, and more. Each programme is designed specifically for you, along with the appropriate meal plan if requested.
Do you do bootcamps or sessions for kids?
Currently, our focus is on bespoke one-on-one and small group personal training for adults. While we don't yet offer bootcamps or kids' sessions, these are both things that we are looking to begin in the future. Please contact us if you have unique group requirements, and we'll see how we can help.
Where will the initial consultation take place?
The first meeting can be a variety of places. If you're hoping to or already do workout in a gym that we train at, then we could have the consultation there. If the training you're after is for something sport specific, we're happy to come to your club or group location. If all of this is new, then we usually aim to have our initial meet in a local cafe, so everyone's relaxed, and we can have an open discussion about your training wants and needs over a tea or coffee - we'll even let you pick the venue! If however you don't fancy any of those options, or you're not local to the Isle of Wight, we can easily arrange a phone call or video chat, or perhaps even simply email correspondance instead.
Why are your in-person training hours so limited?
There are several factors that contribute towards the availability of in-person hours, and availability throughout the year. The largest reason by far, is that we are a family friendly company, meaning we employ parents or people with parental responsibilities. This means we largely have to operate our face to face services within both school hours, and school term times. So while we sympathise that these hours may not work for everyone, and apologise to those we're unable to assist as a result, until we hire more trainers of the required standard, we're unable to branch out with our times and become more readily available.
Are your prices set in stone or is there wiggle room?
Yes pricing adjustments can be made, it all depends on what you're after. Our pricing is structured to reflect the bespoke nature and quality of our services, while understanding that people with tighter budgets may wish to aquire our services. Though our packages are outlined on our Pricing & Packages page, we understand that individual circumstances and needs vary, as some clients may need more guidance and input than others. We encourage you to discuss your budget and requirements with us, and we'll do our best to find a suitable solution.
What makes you a better option over others?
Each client is unique, so their plan should be too. At Aquila Fitness, we don't use templates, and we don't cut corners. Each plan we create is built from scratch, by us, bespoke for the individual and their journey. Whether you just need some online guidance, a more goal-orientated meal plan, or a full in-person training schedule, we handle every individual, well... individually!
What if I'm not sure personal training is for me?
Completely understandable, the first step is usually the most unnerving. Our trainers are all qualified to help streamline your journey. Some people are more knowledgeable than others, and some will require more guidance. Whatever your fitness level, goals, confidence, or knowledge base, there's always something to improve. That's where we come in. We can help you take your first steps, or push you to overcome a training plateau. Let us put your mind at ease and do the work outside the gym, so you can focus on the work inside.
